He is starting at a disadvantage in his sheer belief of superiority. Yoda is too sure of himself despite the obvious facts at hand that he is failing. In the beginning, Yoda and Sidious represent their respective Orders. “Your arrogance blinds you, Master Yoda.” Sidious says, and he’s right, but Yoda does not realise it at first. Sidious dynamic was symbolic of the fall of the Jedi and the Republic in general. Specifically, I felt that the whole Yoda vs. ![]() ![]() As these things go, after so much time deep in meta I suppose, and being of an age where I can better appreciate it, I found I enjoyed it for a whole host of other reasons than I did before. I just rewatched the Yoda and Palpatine fight in RotS for the first time in years. ![]()
